What I learned in 2014 – and it was plenty!

As the year comes to a close, it is a good time to reflect on what I learned in 2014. Boy, I learned a lot! Here are some of the highlights.

After the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, I learned that a missing airliner can keep an entire news network afloat for nearly two months. CNN devoted more time to covering missing Flight 370 than E! spent on the Kardashians. Who knew that was even possible?

Following another Malaysia Airline mishap, this time a plane shot down by the Russians, or Ukrainian militants, or Lee Harvey Oswald, or somebody, I learned to never, ever fly on Malaysia Airlines. That airline seems to have problems with planes reaching their planned destinations ā€“ or any destinations for that matter.
